2008-01-01  Condition Monitoring within the CASTOMAT System


Pionsys® and Siemens AG develop the next generation of the CASTOMAT system. Especially the areas of Condition Monitoring and shared measurement tasks with a big amount of remote components (Remote Services) are of particular importance in this version of the CASTOMAT system. This expresses itself both in further IEEE1394-based hardware developments and in the further development of the PC-based measurement- and analysis software, whose range of applications certainly also is extended.

2007-05-02  Adaptation to Windows Vista and x64 Operating Systems


The adaptation of our driver for x64 operating systems and for Windows Vista has been finished. These extensions therefore allow an even larger spectrum of application for the IEEE1394 solutions of Pionsys®!

2006-10-15  BDA Driver for Windows MCE


The integration of Pionsys® BDA drivers into Windows MCE (Media Center Edition) has been finished. Therewith known functions for controlling of IEEE1394-based tuners and the receiving of TV and radio via IEEE1394 can be provided also in Windows MCE from now on.

2006-10-01  Further development of the CASTOMAT System with Siemens AG


During further development of the CASTOMAT system, special attention is paid to the user-friendliness of the entire system. Thereto belong amongst others also a further modularization of the available hard- and software components and the therewith accompanying scalability. The CASTOMAT system can therefore ideally be adapted to any measurement and analysis task, without affecting the familiar, simple operability.

2005-09-16  Connection of PROFINET via CP1616


Based on CP1616 interface boards of Siemens AG, Pionsys® has developed a driver for the integration of PROFINET within Windows operating systems. The developed driver also works without a real-time-kernel and allows both the communication between two Windows PCs via PROFINET and the communication of Windows PCs with PROFINET devices.

2004-08-11  IEEE1394b via Fibre Optic Cable


Complimentary to existing hardware components of the CASTOMAT system, IEEE1394b repeaters are available to the user from now on. The repeaters communicate via fibre optical cables. Distances of up to 500 m and more were tested successfully with these repeaters and are therefore available for the usage on industrial plants.
The Pionsys® 1394Devolyzer was used for the hardware development and all tests and it allowed a very fast development of the IEEE1394b repeaters, which are now available as one the first ones world wide!

2004-01-01  Acquisition and analysis of measurement data with the CASTOMAT System


The constantly growing potentials of the hard- and software of the CASTOMAT system find a steady growing area of applications within measurement and analysis tasks in industrial plants. 2003-02-24  TV and Radio via IEEE1394


From now on, Pionsys® develops drivers and application software for IEEE1394-based DVB tuners. Up to two turners can be controlled and used simultaneously. DirectShow, BDA and AVStream are only some of the technologies which are being used in this project.

2003-01-03  Release of the Pionsys® 1394 Topology Viewer


The Pionsys® 1394 Topology Viewer is an ideal solution for visualization of IEEE1394 busses. In addition, the Pionsys® 1394 Topology Viewer is able to display images of IEEE1394 cameras. It is therefore perfectly suitable for everyone, who would like to get an uncomplicated and extremely inexpensive overview over his IEEE1394 installations.

2002-11-18  Release of the Pionsys® 1394 Device-API


From today on, the range of Pionsys® products is extended with the Pionsys® 1394 Device-API. Together with the rest of its APIs and applications, Pionsys® offers a complete series of products and solutions for each developer and each application of IEEE1394!
